LINR 2 | Lesson 3: Linear Inequalities in Two Variables

Learning Intentions (Objectives)

1). Students will understand situations which can be represented by linear inequalities.

2). Students will write a linear inequality.

3). Students will verify and depict a solution region in a linear inequality.

4). Students will translate between a situation, various forms of rules, and graphs representing linear inequality.

Rationale (Diagnostic Results)

Students frequently misunderstand the meaning of the solution to a linear inequality and are not experienced with verifying their solutions. Students often incorrectly translate between representations.
