POLQ 2 | Lesson 3 | Making Connections (Applications of Radical Equations)

Applications of Radical Equations

Complete the task:

The distance of an LCD projector from the screen is 12 feet. The area of this LCD’s projection on the screen can be found with the formula \(d=1.4 \sqrt{A}\) where \(d\) is the distance of the projector from the screen, and \(A\) is the area of the projection in square feet. If the distance of the LCD projector from the screen is doubled, how will it affect the area of the projection?

Explain completely.
