Was there more than one way to approach each equation? Share the different approaches you used to solve.

Note that there are restrictions on the denominator. For instance, in problem a) *x* cannot be \(-4\) as it would make the denominator zero. For this case the value of *x* that is not possible does not interfere with the solutions which is \(-3\frac{7}{19}\).

In b) the denominator cannot be 5 or \(-2\), so the answer has to be \(x=-3\). This will be explained more in the next module.
