RATL 3 | Lesson 2 | Solutions Try This!

For both problems, you should have identified any restrictions on the domain.

You should have noted that \(x\neq{0}\). Did you use the quadratic formula or completing the square on b?

The answers to this problem are

a)  \(x=\Large \frac{3+\sqrt{129}}{6} \normalsize, \, x=\Large \frac{3-\sqrt{129}}{6}\)

b)  Did you notice that \(a\neq{-3},2\).     Solution to this equation is \(a=7\).
