POLQ 3 | Lesson 2 | Solution(Factors and Zeros of Polynomial Equations)

Solution:

1) (x+1) is a factor.  The other factor is \(3x^2 + 8x -3\).  This can be further factored into \((3x – 1)(x + 3)\).

The solutions are then -1, \(\frac{1}{3}\) and -3

2) No, as factors of one polynomial are factors of its multiples as well.
