b.  \((x + 2)(2x^3 + 2x – 3) = 2x^4 +4x^3+ 2x^2+ x – 6\)

\(x\) \(2x^4\) \(2x^2\) \(-3x\)
\(2\) \(4x^3\) \(4x\) \(- 6\)

c.   Each term in the first column is multiplied by each term in the first row.  After finding the products, like terms are added together.
