Absolute Value Inequalities

When solving an inequality you found that when multiplying or dividing  by a negative number the sense of the inequality changes.  Keeping that in mind as well as how you solved absolute value equations, explore the following:

What values of \(x\) make the following true?   What do you notice?

  1. \(|x| ≥ 3\)
  2. \(|x| > 0\)
  3. \(|x| <2 \)
  4. \(|x| ≤ -1\)

Check solutions here.
