GEOM 1 | Lesson 2 | Practice

Now work on the following problem:

“How much carpet would you need for the house given, if the carpet is NOT being installed in the kitchen, laundry room, porch or bathrooms, ? If the carpet costs $6.50 per square foot installed, what would it cost to buy carpet for this house?”

You should work the problem by trying  a variety of strategies, such as calculating the entire area, and then subtracting the rooms you don’t need, or calculating each room individually. Your measurements need to be appropriate, even though some distances will be hard to determine. You will need to fill in individual measurements as necessary. You can decide whether stair cases should be included, but make sure to have calculations for each answer.
