GEOM 1| Lesson 4| Watch (Triangle Inequality)

Watch the video for examples of the Triangle Inequality Theorem.

Triangle Inequality Theorem –– Example

Next, check to see if the following measurements would form a triangle using what you learned from the video.

1) \(10, 12, 3\)

2) \(4, 4, 10\)

3) \(5, 6, 11\)

4) \(8, 9, 10\)

Note:  1 and 4 work.  Why don’t the sides with lengths in 2 and 3 work? Can you come up with a general rule?
