What do you notice from the previous two graphs?  You may have noticed that the parent function \(y=2^x\) shifted left 4 units from it’s original position.

What do you wonder?  You might be wondering if a translation always occurs when you add a constant value to the \(x\) -value, or input.

Create a table representing the parent function, as well as its graph, if you were to translate the parent exponential function right 3 units, graph it, create a new table and the equation of the new function.  Desmos would be a good tool to utilize.
