Function Transformation
Transformations of Parent Functions
Recall that the linear, exponential and quadratic function each have a specific equation. The parent function for the linear group is \(y=mx\), for the exponential group is \(y=ab^x\) and for the quadratic group is \(y=ax^2\). The following videos will explain how these functions are transformed with a vertical and horizontal shift in the coordinate plane.
